Photos of Things to Do at Waikoloa Beach

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

About 7 years ago I discovered that I could visit Hawaii and still sell real estate back home in Sacramento, meaning I did not have to be present in Sacramento to list or sell or close my sellers' homes. In fact, in some ways, I was even more focused, especially when I was on vacation by myself.

Usually I spend 2 weeks to 6 weeks at a time in Hawaii. In 2015, I stayed at the Marriott in a cabana at Waikoloa Beach. This is hands down one of the nicest spots on the ocean in Big Island. I wandered all over. Didn't need a car when I could walk.

Since my husband had only been to a few stores in this area during an earlier trip, I thought it would be nice to spend our last day together at Waikoloa Beach, just so he could see it for himself. Of course, although he is going home to Sacramento today, I am staying for another week. It's not yet time for me to depart the islands. You can read more in my personal blog today at this link: Photos of Wailoloa Beach with Eels and Spotted Eagle Rays.

Elizabeth,

Love the photo of the swaying palms.  It speaks of those wonderful trade winds that cool off the day just right.  So delighted for you in that you get to stay another week and enjoy. A

Elizabeth, seems like this is your paradise. I have not been to Hawaii, only to Caribbean islands. They are beautiful. Yet living there full time may have its own challenges. My friends living on St. Croix, tend to fly to Miami for 3-4 days every 3-4 months to change the surrounding

Hi Elizabeth - first let me say this...I don't do snakes, and as far as I'm concerned, eels fall into that category!  Looks like you're having a wonderful stay there. When we first moved to Florida, I was sick of looking at so many palm trees and pink stucco. Now, I love the palm trees!Enjoy the rest of your stay.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel Here in Kona we have winds coming down the mountain at night that bring a strong breeze. Plus, the ocean breezes follow a beeline to our house. It's never really that hot. Low 80s.

Michael Jacobs It's a bit of a drive up the coast, and they need to fix the road. The road construction has been going on forever, so probably not.

Jon Zolsky, Daytona Beach, FL I've been to many islands in the Carribean, including Jamaica a half dozen times, but Hawai'i is different. Not as sticky and humid. Larger land space. And it's a state. The island of Hawai'i is the largest, but it's also 2,500 miles from anywhere. Very remote, if not the most remote place in the world. Which is an attraction for me.

You should visit.

Kathy Streib I do not do snakes, either. I cannot believe that as a kid I used to crawl through gravel under a car to catch a garter snake with my bare hands. Something happened to that kid because I don't want to be within 10 feet of one now. Ditto for eels. Those are things that make up nightmares.

Oh, what a glorious spot - I love the ancient fish pond and all of its critters, overlooking the gorgeous ocean - just WOW!

And, I agree with Adam - you really just wanted to go see the cats and I would have done the same thing! Great shots, Elizabeth and happy to hear that you're staying in this tropical paradise for another week. It would be tough to pull me away from there too!
