Suirl: The Restaurant in Silver Lake, a Los Angeles neighborhood that is becoming more and more a food Mecca in Los Angeles. Just to give you a quick background, this past April we were at the Los Angeles Festival of books and on the cooking stage was this Chef and she prepared a Brioche French Toast. Diane, was hooked, she wanted to have it. Keep in mind this was in April. We met friends (previous clients) at the Cooking Stage and we immediately agreed to add it to our schedule to get together. Finally today it happened.
I was in a less than exited mood to go, since I knew it would be hotter than Hades, which it was...
Now look at the above picture, must admit I am glad we went....
Now keep in mind I had no idea what I ordered but I ws confident it would be fine
The Mosca Breakfast Sandwich Nigella whey brioche bun, sheeted egg, chicken sausage, menemen, green herbs 13
Keep in mind I had no idea what I had until we got home and looked at the menu. All I know is we were laughing that I could not pronounce nor determine all the ingridients.
One thing is sure when things cool down a bit in Los Angeles Diane and I want to go back and try a few other things on the menu.
Keep in mind it is street parking and the neighborhood is still in transition, but the food is out of this world. I am enclosing a link http://sqirlla.com please check out their website and if you are in the neighborhood stop in and Bon Appetit....
On a side note I had the Rhubarb lemonade and it was awesome especially in the heat:)))
