I do not know who started this or when they first named September 15 , as ," National Make a Hat Day ' I just read it in the carrier Pigeon , a monthly free magazine that I receive. Check out www.theuptightsuburbanite.com. It is interesting to see that they have something for each day of the month of September ,'

My mom wore hats and would occasionally alter one and make it prettier or more unique. I don't look good in a hat and only wear one on very cold days if my coat doesn't have a hood.
