We are in marketing.  It really doesn't matter if you are a Realtor(R), loan officer, Stager or Broker we all need name recognition in the marketplace.  Marketing 101 teaches you that the three important part of any marketing program is:

Repeat

Repeat

Repeat

This means you should not spend your marketing dollars on one commercial which is 3 minutes long and runs one time.  You should instead make a short commercial and repeat that message over and over again to stick it into the minds of the public.  Now you know why commercials are so short but you see the same one again and again.  It has been proven that this repeating the same message works!

We have to repeat our names to the public as often as possible.

I would like to share a fun way to impliment a small but free, search page for your computer and instead of the name Google you can insert your name or your team's name.  If I had a team I would ask each team member to load the team name as the home page for every search.  The name would always come up each time a client is with you at your desk.

The website to create this is: http://pimpmysearch.com

Clients who come to your office will then see your name as the search homepage.  So here is what it looks like:

Karen, I just went in and added one to the office computer.  It's making me laugh out loud when I think about someone using it behind me and not expecting that to pop up! Thanks again!

Karen,

I am right there with you.....I have in the past taken for granted that some I know ....knew what I did ....when they didn't use me I was shocked....now I never hesitate to bring up what I do in just about every conversation...

Cheryl,  But we find all these cool simple things from each other.  Glad you like it.

Erik,  What a great idea.

DD Realty,  Thanks for stopping by and when you see it ... don't you just have to "have it'?

Dan, Guess it's a version of name game, but so important.  Thanks for the comment.

David,  I'm sure you have it as Omaha Real Estate by now.

Hi Karen... thanks for the idea.  As they say at Mickey D's, "I'm lovin' it!"

(When I am quoting McDonald's ads, is it a sign I have been on my diet for too long???)
