 The median home price in Wolfeboro, NH, America's Oldest Summer Resort Community,  declined a modest 1.6% through August 2017, compared to the same period last year. Despite the slight dip in prices, home buyers snapped up Wolfeboro homes 42.5% faster on average than they did a year ago.  Median days on market through August was down 50% to 44 days,  The good news for home buyers is that prices are holding steady in 2017.  The bad news is the market is not rewarding indecision. Good values can still be had, but fair warning:  The market is active.  While the pace of sales is effectively unchanged from a year ago, houses available for sale have dropped 20% in the aggregate to 96 active listings at the end of the month.  With more buyers moving in the marketplace on fewer homes for sale, it won't be long before we see prices across the board moving upward.   Interest rates are still very attractive.  Tomorrow will not be a better time than now to take advantage of homeownersip.
