This could be the BIGGEST sale of your life

The phone rings, so I answer, it is not a buyer or seller, it is another agent. They tell me they have a buyer for my home at Po Box xxxx in Manchester NH. Excitement must of taken over me... as I asked them if they really had a buyer for the post office. >>>crickets<<< as they started reading from their script again.

"This is Mr. Godzyk isn't it?". My reply was no, my father is not here. Still waiting for a less scripted response, I started asking the questions. Were they a licensed agent? Yes. Are they new, "well umm  -yes - umm no".

What company are you with I asked again? Then i asked if they were familiar with a Po Box. Still not willing to sway from their script.. they said "Mr. Godzyk, when can i come by to list your home?" Enough was enough and I replied, this is Scott Godzyk, Owner and Broker of the Godzyk Real Estate services, right here in Manchester NH. I let them know if i was to sell my house, I would do it. Ready for one more joke.... i did let them know the government may not be ready to sell the Manchester post office, where my po box xxxx was located, but it was a good effort.

I then told him the seriousness of both calling and telling someone they have buyer when they do not. No apology, no anything, just click..... and therefore a lesson and a great blogging topic. I pondered calling the large franchise company and asking for the manager.

This is why a Buyer or Seller should not choose just any agent, choose the BEST agent for the job. My philosophy is simple, provide more personal and professional service to guide my clients through each step of the buying or selling process. All Agents are not created equal and every buyer or seller should take the time to hire the BEST not just the biggest. Those that hire me, find a dedication like no other.
