Hurricane IRMA

Wordless Wednesday- Here are but a few photos from our meeting with Hurricane Irma Her stay was short lived. In fact, we spent more time preparing for her visit than her actual stay.

And like good guests do, she did not stay long, but decided to continue on her journey.

I  am glad to hear that many are safe, especially those on the west coast of Florida.

Good morning Kathy,

Seems most of the country has gone through a major storm this year.

Glad you came out ok.

Make yourself an astonishing day.

Kathy, hurricane Irma's stay may have been short, but by the looks of all the destruction she left behind, she will be very memorable.

Hi Kathy,

This storm was worse than Matthew last year but two years in a row has to give you some pause.

You are such a trooper, Kathy, that I would not be surprised to learn you out are there with the crews, directing where stuff goes. "You're not planning to leave that pile of trees in the middle of the street are you?"

Glad that it didn't end-up being as bad as feared for you, Kathy Streib ... but by the looks of those pics, it still was bad enough.  Wow!

Thanks for the update. Many rely on good and accurate information, especially when they are not familiar with these areas in Florida.

I'm glad you're safe.

Kathy,

Glad the worst is over.  I was just texting back and forth with a friend whose father has a farm 55 miles from Orlando and 44 miles from Tampa in the middle of nowhere.  300 oak trees and one fell blocking the entrance.  She lives in SF and cannot get on a flight (all overbooked) even though she is a United employee...she just wrote 2 good old boys showed up with a chain saw and a truck, and took care of it.  Her father refused to leave...She is breathing a sigh of relief at last.  A
