Something's Wrong, The Real Estate Home Sale Taking Way Way Too Long.

Why do some real estate home sales not happen quick like a bunny?

The reasons some properties just hang around forever. Don't get a SOLD real estate sign rider screwed on. And linger racking up the days on market clumped together amoung those other homes looking for a new owner. To reach in and draw,  to tap into the local inventory of listings.  People are involved in the house selling process is one big source of delay. Buyers and sellers can be a boisterous bunch. Too many others eyeballing the sales process and putting in their two cents for objections. The buyers and sellers come in all kinds of personalities and moods. Real estate is an emotional process good and bad with highs and lows.

The swing up and down can cause rough seas for the real estate professional to navigate and keep his bearings to stay on course in a home sale.

Where in the background there is always the sound of a stop watch ticking. Because it is as important as air and water, life and death to get this place sold. To successfully get from the listing all aboard, stay in the boat. For safe passage to the sit down pass the keys please, slide the check at the sit down shuffle paperwork  real estate closing. And then back to the other real estate listing sales that need tending and management. maine home sale stained glass photo

Thin ice happens, easy does it careful handling of those with tempers, misinformation and lack of communication to be in the know on what is going on to make it take so long to buy or sell this home.

Far away home mortgage lenders, out of town legal beagles or title companies can be part of the problem in the disconnect and delay in a home sale.

Other reasons from the get go and many that creep into to tangle up the real estate list and sale process. We can all agree in the room on one thing. Wasting precious time is not going to help the success rate, your batting average as a real estate salesperson. And it takes away time needed for others in the real estate operating or emergency room. Seeing what needs to happen, what is dragging or not being attended to takes a trained eye, a seasoned professional in the fast paced sport called real estate.

It shows our markets when we wonder after a week or two why a home has not sold, but preparation also sometimes reveals this development takes longer for example, Knowing your stats, days on market etc before you list for a development can make a big difference when you get an antsy seller.

Andrew

This is a dark tale which weaves an entangled web. Though the problem may be many, the tale is the woe. Need to reread a dozen more times to tell if be me, the seller or just darn luck. Sorry, my answer being a bit confused but then again, rereading once more. Maybe clarity next time. cheers cvc

This summer in my market time of appraisals getting done slowed us down. We got busy and they took weeks.  I guess we need more appraisers.
