SEO increases the overall value of your website which can then be sold recovering part or all of the investment you made into SEO in the first place.

While SEO takes a while to become effective once the results start they turn from a trickle to a stream and remain that way for years. I've done the math many times and overall SEO delivers a cost per customer acquisition about 200% less than any other form of real estate marketing.
