MAKE a WISH Before You BLOW IT!
Starting out a new career in the real estate industry is often met with excitement and high expectations. This is a business that depends on creating trust relationships to build upon for success.
The following are some things that have worked for me during the many years in the business:
- Be sure to report facts based on reliable information. Refrain from haphazardly throwing information out there just to capture attention, otherwise you may lose integrity with consumers.
- Practice only within the scope of the industry in which you reside. Avoid giving mortgage, tax or legal advice unless licensed as a mortgage professional, accountant or attorney.
- Arrive on time for appointments or you will be met with scrutiny and may end the business relationship. You get one chance to impress new clients so make the extra effort to be professional!
- Do not, at any cost, predict what the future market holds and use only verifiable real estate sites for comparables, unlike Z.com or other national sites that tout erroneous information.
- Your work ethic will truly show in the spirit of cooperation, the amount of work put forth and ability to put clients first. No hidden agendas, only to help realize the goals of clients to a satisfying end result.
Making a Wish is generally done when celebrating happy occasions. Stay to the professional side when serving clients or you just might blow it and there will be no cake for you!
