HAND WRITTEN NOTES

Ouch.  Writers cramp setting in.  I sure glad I am not in school anymore...

21 NOTES.

That is where I am at.

In an effort to get back to basics I have begun writing 100 notes to past clients, friends, family members, etc..

I have written 21.

Notes are effective.  People like receiving hand written notes.  It makes them feel special.

They are special.

I certainly don't like writers cramp.  I don't even like my handwriting.

So if you receive a hand written note, you know there was some effort put into it.

In every note, I encourage the recipient to pass along my name to anyone who is thinking of moving.

Two business cards.

A touch of Eternitiy for Men.  By Calvin Klein.  My cologne...

I have to go now.

I have 79 more notes to write.

Good luck with yor writing, and I agree a personal note and phone calls make oall the difference in the world. In the intrum emails and stopping by just to say hi works great. Everyone needs to feel special and our clients ned to feel like more than a paycheck and never to be seen again.

But why the calogne?

Hi Marie.  I believe scent is the strongest sense (have you ever tried to sell a home that smells bad?)

I think the cologne smells great.  Hopefully, it reminds them of me.

Thanks for stopping by.

Ken - ya gotta do what ya gotta do. My husband (mortgages) and I do handwritten mailings to our data bases all the time. They work. People still LOVE to get cards and letters in the mail. They feel special. I just did a huge hand written mailing included 5 or 10 1 cent stamps for the postage change. We are already getting responses. Keep up the good work!

Ken - this is true. I send out about 500 written letters a month - all by hand. It pays off, but it sure gets old. I guess I could hire a helping "hand"

This is real dedication Ken. I hope you get a terrific responce

Ken - Good for you.  I need to become more consistent with my note writing.  It's easy to put off - but it's so valuable.  Keep up the great work.

Ken- I don't know how you do it.  I'm sure it pays off but I don't think I could do it.  Good for you!

Hi Judy, Lynn, Barbara, Sharon, and Greg.

Congrats Greg on the mailings.  That is awesome.

I used to send out notes, but got away from it.  It feels good to be sending them again.

Reminds people we are still there.

Thanks all for stopping by,

Ken

How's the note-writing going?  It can take a toll.  Try doing 5 a day and it goes pretty well ... so long as you keep doing it on a consistent basis!  It pays off though so keep after it!!!

05/15/2008 11:30 PM by Kathy Brown Sells Northern Colorado (RE/MAX Alliance)

Hi Kathy.  5 a day is a good goal.  I have written 24 so far.  It will probably take me another two weeks to get to 100.  Consitency is the key!

Thanks for stopping by.

Too funny about dabbing the note with your cologne!  I never would have thought of that for a business note, I guess it is a subliminal message.  :-)  You'll love the sales results that will eventually come from your handwritten notes.  It really does work.

I have atrocious handwriting. In fact, I have to really concentrate to make it legible. I can see my mom's hadnwriting and my dad's handwriting in mine, but it really doesn't combine well. I try to do about 5 cards per week. And make calls. Phone calls. Argh. The basics. But I am also trying to blog more often- I just met a new Buyer from my AR posts!

Bizarre...that's all that comes to mind on the scenting the notes.  If I got a note from a guy with his cologne on it, I'd be a little weirded out by it.  By a woman? I'd be afraid of what my wife would think.  I guess it all depends on whether it's really a business note or....

Keep up the note writing though...at least the written part and you will position yourself in people's minds when they think real estate though.

Hi Ron.  The cologne feels like me.  I don't know why.

Good luck with your campaign Ken. I should start writing hand written notes. I have never done it before. I am going to start doing it soon. Great post.
