OMG... have I got a hot new restaurant in East Austin for you to try this week-end! I'm almost afraid to to shout it out because I'm afraid we won't be able to get in again. Seth Baas has hit a home run and he has the right staff like Alexander Dubey (General Manager) to make this restaurant fly! Start dialing for a reservation or pull up Open Table.....you won't be disappointed! Dinner whether on the patio or inside is a delight!!

East Cesar Chavez is the location of this stately A-frame with a barn-chic design. It has an airy, yet cozy feel to it along with a large patio space, an on-site garden and a parking lot (now, that’s a big deal downtown!). Add to that high ceilings and full windows and you clearly have an open feel to your dining experience.
The service is great with an attention to detail as they keep your water glasses full and plates taken away when you’re finished eating. We loved our bottle of Roth Estate Cabernet Savigon and the Buckwheat corn bread with honey miso butter was seriously good!!
Here is a sampling of what you’ll find on the menu. On the MORNING menu – there’s The Pitchfork with a toasted potato roll, soft scramble, daily charcuterie, sambal, Dijon and provolone cheese. Or try The Pretty – an everything bagel with pimento cheese, dill pickle, red onion, alfalfa sprouts & basil. If you’re from the east coast you might like to try The Lox – a toasted everything bagel with house cured lox, cream cheese, capers, red onion and tomato.
On the ENTRÉE menu you can order half a chicken fried with sweet potato salad, red chile paste & buttermilk dressing or bbq’d with yams, cabbage and marrow, broth with liver and onion toast (and it's awesome). Or from the Grilled Meat menu there’s beef sausage, beef tongue and beef rib served family style with pickles, onions, white bread and sauce in our wonderful TX tradition. You’ll also find Ruby Trout and Roasted Pork on the menu.
If you’re stopping for Sunday Brunch, there’s lots to choose from - like Oysters either grilled or chilled or the Crab Toast with poached egg, hot cabbage slaw, grilled blue crab, potato bread and brown butter hollandaise. And, if you’re in the mood for sweets try the Earth Bowl with oats, toasted coconut, banana, kiwi and sunflower seed milk or a White Chocolate Waffle with bananas and pecans.
They have a saying at Pitchfork Pretty “straight up Hill Country Cuisine” and that’s exactly what they serve. Don't miss out..make a reservation today!
