I'm a royal pain in the rear when it comes to punctuation. "It's" and "Its" make me crazy. "You're" and "Your" drive me up a wall.

Imagine my delight when I discovered that September 24th is National Punctuation Day! My favorite local columnist, from northern New Jersey's Bergen County, wrote this column and my soul cheered! So, if you're a stickler like me, enjoy Bill Ervolino's take on the possessive S!

I am so with you on this Wayne and Jean. I admit to being a bit of a punctuation and grammar nazi.

Good afternoon Wayne and Jean - oh I really love this infographic. Sometimes punctuation is superfluous but not here

Hi Wayne and Jean- this is right up Marte Cliff 's alley.  Sometimes it's like nails on a chalkboard for me.

Somewhere on my shelf is the book "Eats, Shoots, and Leaves." Commas can make SUCH a difference in meaning.

Several months ago I wrote about how it cost a business owner many thousands of dollars because his employee manual (I think) was missing a comma and thus was subject to a different interpretation than he intended.

Wayne and Jean Marie Zuhl That IS a good one. I am afraid Grandpa might be a bit tough to chew. Stringy too!
