The 2017 Scream Zone is Coming Soon in Del Mar CA
The 2017 Scream Zone opens this coming Friday September 29th, ready for scaring young and old alike once again, at the famed Del Mar Fairgrounds through Halloween October 31st.
The Scream Zone has been a popular, interactive Halloween event in San Diego for years, and you can expect this year to be as good if not better.
The Scream Zone has a well-earned reputation as the largest, and perhaps scariest, event in the San Diego area, located at the famous Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, so if you like being spooked in more ways than one, you don’t want to miss it.
Here are some scary things you can do…if you dare.
Go on a Haunted Hayride to an unknown destination
Take a “walk” through the House of Horror (not recommended for kids under 10)
“Enjoy” KarnEvil, a carnival/freak show
“The Running Dead” Obstacle Course – run for your life from all kinds of creatures on this 30,000 SF obstacle course
You can order tickets online with varying prices (there is an opening night special, with 3 Haunts for half price) depending on how scared you want to be. Scream Zone hours are 7 pm until midnight Fridays and Saturdays, and 7 until 11 PM on Sundays through Thursdays (see schedule below):

The Scream Zone is located at the Del Mar Fairgrounds at 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard at the corner of Via de la Valle off the 5 freeway to the west. Call 858-755-1161 for more information. Parking is free through the Solana Gate off Via de la Valle.
