LAS VEGAS VALLEY REALTORS DONATE SCHOOL SUPPLIES

The school year started a few weeks ago however the Las Vegas Realtor community recognizes that many students still don’t have some basic supplies.

The membership of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors (GLVAR) has spent lots of time this summer collecting backpacks and school supplies to students that are served by the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada.  We have seen another successful school supply drive this year – on August 18 a group of volunteer GLVAR members dropped off all the supplies to appreciative students at the Lied Clubhouse of the Boys and Girls Club.

According to GLVAR president David J. Tina all the Realtors deserve recognition for the excellent work they do for this important cause.  The National Association of Realtors has partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs across the country in recent years.  The clubs offer a home away from home for nearly 4 million children each year with thousands of boys and girls in need here in Southern Nevada.

Andy Bischel, president and CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada stated “Mission Accomplished” and “Thank you for your continued support of our club kids.  We sincerely appreciate the NVAR Leadership program’s effort to enhance and engage our kids’ academic progress.”

Bottom Line- So many of the children in Southern Nevada need the help of people like you that can go out and buy pencils, pens, paper, rulers and other supplies that their families are hard pressed to purchase.  If you have some items you wish to donate- drop them off at the Smith Team and we will make sure these supplies get to the kids that need them the most.
