Why Your Buyers Need You

Education & Training with Buffini & Company

In our ever-changing real estate market, buyers need an experienced real estate agent like you on their side to guide them through the process. Today’s buyers have more information at their fingertips than they know what to do with. While many online websites promise to help buyers purchase their dream homes without the help an agent, the reality is many buyers need someone who can explain the process and handle any challenges or “blips” that occur. Every transaction is different—buyers need to you!

1. Set expectations. Buying a home is a process of elimination, not a process of selection. Many buyers go into the buying process thinking they’ll have their choice of properties on the market. In reality, when they enter their wants, needs, budget and other considerations into their search criteria, they may discover that only a few homes on the market tick most of the boxes and the options may not look like the homes they had imagined in their heads or on their vision boards. An experienced agent will explain the market, keep expectations in check, and help buyers find the right home for them.

2. Reassure buyers throughout the process. Sometimes transactions run smoothly. More often than not, there are hiccups of all sizes that occur: The home inspector may have discovered a small leak in the bathroom or uncovered a large termite infestation. Or, maybe financing fell through or the sellers are having second thoughts about selling. A lot can happen during the process and having you, a knowledgeable agent, there to explain what’s normal and how to handle things that come up will help the buyers feel at ease and reassured that you have their best interests at heart.

3. Connect buyers to tradespeople and services after the sale. Once the transaction goes through, your buyers may need help with moving or may wish to renovate. Since you’re connected with great like-minded people in your community, you can connect them with reputable services and tradespeople in your community.

We created this month’s Marketing Flyers to help you discuss the buying process with potential and current clients. It’s intended to reinforce your expertise and care for your clients. Remember Referral Maker® CRM can help you keep track of your current and potential clients and stay on top of your current transactions.  Visit ReferralMaker for more information.
