Rossmoor Train Club in Leisure World of Maryland
This club is one of the many clubs and organizations available to residents of Leisure World of Maryland.
One of Leisure World’s newest organizations is off and running... trains, that is.
This club was formed in 2007 and is located in the lower level of Clubhouse II. The club members have been busy these past years building a complete HO layout with water falls, trestle bridges, city and rural areas, roundtable, etc. We are working on completing the N gauge layout, which has a mountain (which both HO and N trains travel through) as well as the O gauge layout. As most of you know, hobbies are never completed
Membership is open to all LW residents. You need not own or contribute any equipment to join. A willingness to help with construction, a love of group activity and a fascination with realistic miniature trains and a modest dues payment are all that’s required. We gather as a group for working sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays, at 6:30pm and on Thursdays at 2:00pm. Guests are welcome. The club meets every second Thursday of the month in Clubhouse II at 4pm. We have a general open house for LW residents twice a year, in June and December. Watch the LW News for dates and times.
The club welcomes donations of rolling stock, accessories and furnishings.
