The Family, Fur and Fun Festival on October 14 will be held at Mountain’s Edge to celebrate the joy of pets and to learn about helping, fostering and adopting neglected or abandoned animals.
The free event will be held at Exploration Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Christy Stevens, the chairperson of this annual event stated “There are so many ways people can make a difference in the lives of thousands of animals in need here, and the Family, Fur and Fun Festival provides an ideal venue to easily share information. And Exploration Park is a beautiful setting for families to also celebrate with their pets.”
Your leashed pet is welcome to join the fun and enjoy interactive booths and watch dog sport demonstrations by Atomic Dogs. There is also a pet costume contest and pet adoption opportunities. Don’t worry there are also plenty of activities for your human children as well – arts and crafts and exploring the Old Western town.
There will be music, refreshments and food available – plus raffle drawings - people that bring donations of dog food will receive a free raffle entry. By the way – No items from China will not be accepted. Event proceeds will benefit non-profit animal rescue organizations including Animal Help Alliance, The Churchill Foundation, Hearts Alive Village, Paws 4 Love and many more.
