Charming Updated Foothill Farms Home is Affordable

By
Real Estate Agent with Elizabeth Anne Weintraub, Broker DRE #00697006

Welcome to my new listing, a charming Foothill Farms home that is not only affordable but also updated. It is situated among wonderful neighbors, says the seller, who really hates to move away from them. She can't stop talking about how much she loves her neighbors, which is a good thing. One of them came over as she was preparing the home for sale, in the middle of the night, and helped her to move the refrigerator back into the house from the garage.

The reason the refrigerator was in the garage was because some other agent the seller had interviewed told her buyers don't want it and she should remove it. I suggested she forget about everything that agent told her, to put the 'frig back into the kitchen and then hire me instead. First-time home buyers LOVE to get a refrigerator. Do you know how much a new refrigerator costs? These guys are often scraping together the down payment and closing costs. It's expensive to buy a new refrigerator.

Besides, there was nothing wrong with her existing refrigerator. You can read more and see all of the photographs in my personal blog today at this link: Buying a Foothill Farms Home the Seller Remodeled for Herself.

Elizabeth,

I always marvel at some of the advice that is given by some who purport to be experts.  This is the first time I heard that the refrigerator belongs in the garage! We had an extra refrigerator in the garage...LOL  A

Elizabeth- how cute is this home!  It looks fresh and ready for some lucky buyer. I too am surprised that another agent recommended that the refrigerator be placed in the garage.  Even if the buyers wanted to replace it with one of their own down the road, at least they would have a refrigerator to start.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel The problem with bad advice is we're in the same group, so it makes doubly hard for clients to know whom to trust.

Kathy Streib I don't think the agent told her to leave the frig in the garage, I think she told her to sell it or take it with her and just not leave it in the kitchen. Which is still, no matter how you look at it, bad advice.

I'm glad this Foothill Farms seller found you and hired you.  Why wouldn't any buyer want that refrigerator?
