I have various garden statuary. About 30 years ago I found a really cute little pig at a garden shop in New Jersey that no longer exists. When I moved to Massachusetts, I brought it with me and eventually found just the right spot for it in my yard. Yesterday when the lawn mower guys came a new replacement guy destroyed it. I found it this morning in pieces, that wouldn't fit and then in areas around the yard. I am really sad and pretty upset because no one even told me.
Anyone can make a mistake but adults stand up and acknowledge them. When I called this morning the woman who does the bookkeeping and is largely in the office didn't know either. She was responsive and I appreciated it, but the the stink still hurts. Remember to treat people with courtesy and respect and admit mistakes. It may not make it better but not doing so is just cruel.
