If you are dedicated to a cause ....if you work with a FUNdraising event you learn lots of life lessons in the process. In my "former life" as the owner of a marketing agency....you do lots of things...new product introduction, grand opennings, corporate meetings,anniversaries....all kinds of things to celebrate and great enjoyment from watching the results, When I first was licensed as a Wisconsin Real Estate agent...I was afraid I would miss all those things...all that excitement of watching marketing plans come to life and the fruition being more than you could imagine.
Marketing is what makes my blood flow....whether it is a listing or an event and when we are involved in both ....as we are now....the adrenalin never stops and I am loving every minute of it. This has meant a little less posting and a lot less commenting in the Rain....and after our Halloween Spooktacular next Saturday at the Best Western Hotel om Brookfield from 5 to 11....)In case you are in the neighborhood....things will settle down to holiday plans and getting those new listings up and running while the Sellers prepare their properties and complete their punch lists.
With every event you learn things.....always of Value....whether they are the best way to do something...who volunteers and who talks about it and never does it....and very very best part are the heart warming friends and business associates that have given so generously of their time...donated auction items...sponsored events....most without even being asked....When the question was asked...SO what are you up to besides Real Estate....we would say we are working on a FUNdraiser....and the answer each and every time was...How can we help....Would you like....
Whether it is a gift of time..."can I help decorate"....or here is an item for your auction....or can I invite friends to come....they love events like this...it is heartwarmng and reminds you why giving gives BACK to you far more than you ever give to it.
If you don't have the serious adoption of a cause....not just a toss of groceries to the food pantry or a check here or there...but a cause that says to you and everyone you know...you have a comittment then make that part of your marketing plan...your personal plan...your life plan...reap the rewards of knowing you gave someone a hand up.....when they needed it most.
