64 Comments on Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....I've a got a Secret!
Marci- Happy 40th, you are an inspiration! Mine is next March (the 14th) and I was feeling a little worried about it until now (ok I'm still a little stressed, but that's just my nature). This post and all the comments on the virtues of wisdom with age are encouraging. Have you heard the commercial that says 40 is the new 20? Except 40 is better because now we are smarter and much more content. Happy Birthday!!!
It brings me to tears hearing about losing a child, it is any parent's worse worry. Words just aren't enough, but I pray for you and all who have felt that terrible pain. God Bless.
What can I say... Happy Birthday! I was hoping it was today because then I could say you and Active Rainer Stefan Scholl were turning 40 on the same day but I think Stefan's birthday is today, so he is an older man. Not an old man... or I am a much older woman.
I saw Diane's post about your birthday!
Happy Birthday Monday
I turned 40 last year and found it liberating - I hope you enjoy 40 as much as I am.
Atrine, that is how I feel- like Im finally an adult!
Denise, you know you are my girl! Thank you!
Roberta, I hate that we have such a wonderful thing in common. Those trials have strenthened our faith and I love that we have that in common!
Thank you Lola & Maureen
Gina-- I love the commercial! Happy early birthday to you and like I say-- enjoy the ride and get ready to LIVE it to the fullest!
Tina, I plan on doing just that! enjoying to the fullest!
Diane, thanks for your post! It was absolutely amazing! I feel so much love here and I just really want to thank everyone once again!
Then again, thank you -- just doesnt seem like enough! I really love each and everyone one of YALL!
.......and we just LOVE you too! LAWD!!! have Marci!!!!!
Marci - did you survive the big 4-0? What did you get? (I am asking for a gift certificate to the mall for my next bday so I can blow it on staging stuff with no guilt heehee)
You guys are really the best, I cant say it enough. One day we all have to meet somewhere in the middle of the USA, like Kansas and have an Active Rain 1st Annual Reunion - well, and watch the corn grow or whatever goes on there! I lost my son Matthew at almost 5 months in 2001 -- it is a terrible thing to lose a child. True, sincere friends make things better for everyone in this life, whether they are virtual friends or ones you can physically hug & share mocha with. I get such a warm fuzzy logging on and reading how everyone is doing, and sharing stuff with people who actually UNDERSTAND (as those tho think this job is so easy - shop for a living) and can help each other!!! ROCK ON!
Karen, I haven't gotten anything just yet--- the big day is tomorrow. Brandon (my son) is supposed to detail my car. He is going to clean it inside and out! I don't know what other stagers cars look like- But mine is a mess! It has candles- ribbons and all kinds of staging stuff in the inside! So that will be the greatest present. Brandon is a neat FREAK so it will look as if I had it professionally done! He only does it for my special occasions.
In the morning--Tanya (my biz partner) and I are going to talk with a client about staging 2 vacant lakeside properties (Wooo HOOO)!
In the afternoon, my best friend since 4th grade is taking me to a spa - relax- massage- and then end the day with my son and I going out to dinner! Thats the plan!
This photo was of myself and 2 very dear friends in Nice, France, we all turned 40 last year, made the commitment to take a trip together (both friends live in Europe so I went there first time ever) and I changed careers! Spent 15 wonderful days with girlfriends in London, Italy and Paris - a trip of a lifetime and a start of new beginnings and adventures. Embrace your 40's the best is yet to be! All the best in the fun years to come! Karen
FOR THOSE UNAWARE....THERE ARE 2 OTHER CELEBRATORY BLOGS IN HONOR OF MARCI'S 40:

Please everyone - go to these (if you have not already) - and leave a BIRTHDAY BLESSING!!!!
