Do you need to find business? Do you not have any money to spend on finding business? The answer to this dilemma called “no business” is to host an open house for a 1.5 to 2 hour period on a Saturday afternoon.
The football games are on Sunday afternoon, and during football season, Saturdays are becoming more popular. Two of our agents hosted one open house event today from noon to 1:30 and had 8 couples. Not every buyer was working with an agent. Several people had interest.
That’s an hour and a half with the chance of potential business resulting. We have two agents at every open house event, and one agent is there to train, to shadow, to listen and learn.
My marketing for open house events is done online. I start writing and posting three days before the open house event. I post on 6 websites; Facebook business page; my personal Facebook page; and ActiveRain plus my outside blog. That’s a total of 10 different sites, and I hit them twice, during that three day period, with different keyword phrases in the title.
We had several titles on the first page of the SERP’s for a search for open houses today. Our open house signage was everywhere leading to the house!! MLS had the open house information most of the week. None of this cost money. What’s needed of an agent to provide marketing is a website and blogging platforms.
How do you find real estate business? You ask to help with open house events, and you market about the event. Business will walk through the door.
Just another thought for the moment…..
