This is our entry into the October Challenge "2017 ActiveRain Photography Contest" hosted by Dick Greenberg.

We will share two photos today - the first a ground level shot of the front a property that sits on an acre in Desert Hills, Arizona and the second an aerial photo of the same property.
This ground level shot shows plenty of blue sky, trees, cacti and shrubs - but where is the house?!!
This aerial photo clearly shows off the front of the house, while still capturing the trees, cacti and shrubs and gives a good sense of the size of the acre lot the property sits on.
This is a great example of why we decided to launch (no pun intended) Sunlit Drones LLC earlier this year after completing our FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot licensing, and purchasing two "aerial drones" a DJI Phantom 4 Pro and a DJI Mavic Pro.
It's a "best practice" to secure written permission from the homeowner in advance of any "drone shoot" AND to carry general liability insurance of $1,000,000 - which we purchase from Verifly.com immediately prior to each drone flight.
Does your current aerial photographer get written permission AND carry insurance?
The old adage of "A picture's worth a thousand words" is clearly on display here.
What would otherwise be a front photo of a house obscured by the landscaping, or a close up shot of the house that would not show off both the house and the landscaping, is easily dramatically improved by the use of aerial photography!
