When the phone rings, I amswer. Some times though I do not hear what I woudl expect. Real Estate is a business of selling. Not just selling a home but a service. I strive to offer a greater service than those who work in my area. More sevice, more communication, more marketing and more personal interactive. When the phone rings I answer. With that strategy come the good, sales people, scammers, the bad and not so ordinary calls. Please enjoy some of my scariest calls heard here in the Manchester NH area.
THE TOP 13 CALLS ARE:
13. Do you have a home that is not selling that the seller has to move, and may want me to stay there to watch it for free?
12. You have a home for sale for $250,000, will the owner take $200,000?
11. I am calling to get you on the first page of every Google service for only $1000. My answer "click"
10. Do you have any rent to own homes?
9. This is Mrs. Agent from XYZ national company, I live in the "Main Street" Condominiums where you just listed a home. I actually list all the homes in this neighborhood and think you should refer this listing to me? "Uggh NO"
8. I am thinking of buying a home and have a list of about 20 homes I would like to see. ME: Have you been pre qualified yet? NO, I do not need to as I wont be ready to get a mortgage for 4-5 years.
7. And one of the scariest call all agents may under stand, starts with "Hello, this is XYZ with Zillow looking to sell you a zip code in your county (that is actually in MA when I am in NH).
6. When showing a home the buyer states, this is a great kitchen, look at that pie the seller baked. Followed by can I have a piece?
4. Would the seller leave all their furniture at no cost.
3. A home seller who when told their asking price is a good $50,000 to much, calls to say "well yes, it has a lot of sentimental value, that is worth every penny of 50 grand cause it is mine"
2. Would the seller mind if we came back to use the pool, asked a buyer.
1. Can I see "123 Main Street at noon?" Are you an agent? no. Are you a home buyer? no. But you want to see this home and you are not looking to buy a home? No, we are bored and just want to see what the inside of this home looks like.
THE BOTTOM LINE is that as agents we get flooded with calls in any given day. They all have to be anwered if you want to provide the best service to your clients.
There is a difference from agent to agent. That a Buyer or Seller should not choose just any agent, choose the BEST agent for the job. My philosophy is simple, provide more personal and professional service to guide my clients through each step of the buying or selling process. All Agents are not created equal and every buyer or seller should take the time to hire the BEST not just the biggest. Those that hire me, find a dedication like no other.
