finding alternate transportation

Being a road rep the bus or train isnt really feasible. it would take an entire day just to see a few clients. a bicycle wouldnt do either.it would probably take even more time to see a few clients and i would arrive a disheveled mess. i do however have a motorcycle license. after passing my road test all of my friends begged me not to buy one. as i was taking my roadtest a very good friend of mine was in a terrible motorcycle accident. 7 surgerys, months in the hospital, & physical therapy. never mind the accident was his fault, driving recklessly & without the proper protective gear. i would be more cautious. my friends top concerns are not that i wouldnt be carefull, but that so many drivers dont see motorcycles. most motorcycle acidents are the car drivers fault. if you cut off another car they can maintain control. not so much on 2 wheels. so now that gas is over $4 a gallon im thinking about it. i wonder what my clients, and perspective clients would think when i walk in, in full motorcycle gear holding a helmet? not exactly a professional look. and i have to wonder if the safety risks outweigh the gas savings.probably not.this debate will ramble on in my head, mainly because i just like to ride.
