For those of you who know I've been in the process of monetizing my blog, it may make a bit more sense. Yes, I'm an Amazon Associate (affiliate link) and I earn a small commission when people click my links and then buy something from Amazon within 24 hrs.
So, on my blog, I recommend products to my customers, primarily items that are related to flooring (e.g. the best polyurethane, the best hardwood flooring cleaner, the best vacuum for hardwood flooring). These are items that I already recommend to my customers.
I've been trying to write more articles like this, hoping that they get found on google and that they are useful for my customers and convert well. So, today, I was pleasantly surprised that today, I sold 3 vacuums all in the same day. These are great vacuums and reasonably priced. And, they tend to earn higher commissions compared to a hardwood cleaner or felt pads or a book, so anytime someone buys one, I feel good.
This article converts pretty well, so I would love if it did better on google. So, today, I looked at my analytics (via search console). And, where do I rank? #12. Not so hot.
So, one of my tasks now is to get this to rank better. Hopefully, the link above will help. I also had a fellow blogger friend (who happened to write an article about vacuums and how her son loved them) link to me, too. I'm on a quest and I'm hoping I can somehow get the article to rank better.
