Right on target - and - re-blog!

I'm an engineer by training so as you might guess, I'd like to know what to expect in a world of chaos.  That's not how Life works for the most part, so I need adapt to today's circumstances.

And if I want even more unpredictability, I tinker around in our flower garden because nature is just full of surprises!  The fundamentals are predictable:  plant flowers, provide them basic care and see , some will live, some (unfortunately) won't. Over the years I learn what thrives in our flowerbeds and what (no matter how much I love the blooms) is destined to R.I.P if I plant them. Experience matters, but there are still things to learn.

Flowers typically have a blooming season and then they're done until next year.  But not always.  Sometimes a flower that is well past its season will provide a gift.  Weeks after the other blooms had dried, one of our clematis provided a most welcome surprise this weekend:

clematis

Now being a real estate agent is much the same as gardening.  I've been helping people buy and sell homes for over a decade.  With that comes a lot of lessons learned, some the easy way, some the hard way.  But each lesson learned means it's a lesson I don't have to learn again.  Those paid in full lessons mean my clients of today have much less to worry about, because I know what to typically expect a buyer or seller to do, and less that can be unexpected.

Buyers and sellers may love SOME surprises, but for the most part, they'd rather have a calm, smooth transaction with a minimum of the unexpected.  That's why it's worthwhile to hire an experienced agent.  Sure, sometimes I can still encounter the unexpected, but I've got the fundamentals down pat and know how to problem solve.  That last part, it's kind of mandatory to be an engineer.

Figure it out and fix it, it's what we do.

Now where did my duct tape and WD-40 disappear to??
