Sequim is ideal for families that love the outdoors. There are mountains to hike, amazing biking trails to ride, and a beautiful coastline to explore. Almost any outdoor activity can be found here.

Visit one of our many local parks for a fun day in the sun. Margaret Kirner Park is a small neighborhood park with a playground for the little ones, and Carrie Blake Park has something for everyone. In addition to a playground and dog park, kids can skateboard or try out the BMX track. Cheer on the local little league team at Dr. Standard Park, or head out to Sequim Bay State Park for boating, clamming or swimming. After playing games on the ball fields, or tennis courts enjoy lunch at one of the sheltered picnic areas.

Sequim families love the beautiful Olympic mountain hiking trails. The breathtaking summits are a great place to take a family photo, or see the sites biking the Olympic Discovery Trail. Sequim’s coastline also offers many family adventures. Wander on the Dungeness Spit and look for our local wildlife residents. Then continue up to the historic lighthouse, or glide along the shoreline in kayaks. And the outdoor opportunities don’t end in the winter.
