Friday Diary of a Charlotte Realtor® - 03NOV17
Another gorgeous Friday in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the week has been amazing too!
Today marks the birth of one of the most important people in my life- my youngest son, Ryan. I couldn’t possibly be more proud of him - his character and his accomplishments. Time has flown for the past 28 years...some time I am okay with passing (teen years!!), the rest, I would love to have more of. Such is life and all we can do is treasure the time we spend with those we love.
Four Closings this week for both buyers and sellers - all went well and all four clients are looking forward to starting amazing new chapters in their lives. I couldn’t be happier for them.
Three properties that we have been working to prep for the market for a while, had a good number of finishing touches done this week to them. I’m excited to make all three active next week. So stay tuned for some fantastic new listings with incredibly wonderful new appointments that buyers will LOVE!
Two luxury listings went under Contract this week so we are expecting two stress-free December Closings for our sellers!
Personally, as you know, I live my career...I love what I do so much that it often doesn’t feel like work. Yeah, I know, I said personal but, when you’re in this business the two intertwine more often than not!
I have avoided my normal lunches & dinners out with friends and clients since my oral surgery in July. As of today, that enjoyable part of my life is no longer on hold! I get to resume date nights with hubby and tonight I did just that - I enjoyed my first real meal as we took my son and his girlfriend out for his birthday!! This has been a long time coming...at least it seems like a long time to me!
Do you ever find that you are your own worst enemy? Nothing in life is constant and no one is in control of us but, US!
Rather than examining our personal failures, we must focus on the positives - the WINS. Daily affirmations is a great way to start the day - even if we only focus on one or two positives, that starts our day off on a more uplifting note and it tends to stay with us throughout the day.
Remember, our choices are our own…don’t be a victim and don’t settle for living in discomfort or misery. We’ve all been through rough times where we could ‘go either way’ but, if we focus on the positive, getting past the blame game (even it it’s ourselves we are blaming) and moving on is so much easier...and productive. Move past being victim and hold your head high…and SMILE!
Have a great week everyone!
