Confusion reigns.
Last Saturday we had a dusting of snow.
This weekend temperatures are pushing 60, we've got thunderstorms and a tornado watch for our area.
This isn't exactly our normal for this time of year!
And what's also not normal?
Mowing my lawn in November!
And what else did I notice while mowing that's not normal for this time of year?
Azaleas blooming. First I found this one.
Just one bloom on the entire bush. Just one branch that thought "It's Spring, let's go for it!"
But that wasn't the only stray bloom, there was one more to be found!
Now that one had a little company, with a few more buds threatening to burst open any day now!
But fortunately, the other 50 azalea shrubs all seem to be operating on a normal schedule. Come next spring we'll have an explosion of pinks, whites, yellows and oranges all along the woodline.
