Speechless Sundays - Camellias in Bloom
Each fall, I look forward to seeing some color in the garden. Spring and summer flowers and flowering shrubs always put on such a beautiful show of color but, fall and winter are a bit more dismal. So, when the Camellias begin to bloom and the Pansies begin spilling over with colorful flowers, the focal point changes from the fallen leaves and the nearly barren trees to one of great appreciation of the colorful Camellias.
The Yuletide Camellias are next to bloom and their deep red color adds a new pop to the landscape. I'm looking forward to the next bloom but, for now, I took a page out of Liz and Bill Spear's book of capturing a busy bee on my now, blooming Camellia Sasanqua.
These are quite hearty in the Charlotte area and are a fast-growing evergreen that produce beautiful white, fluffy blooms in late-fall and into mid-winter.
