Connections are the key! Who Are Your Connections? Well that could be a two fold answer that the members of Active Rain are beginning to understand more and more as we grow in numbers. Today, I read Colleen Kulikowski's post on spotlighting new members to the Active Rain Network. This is just one of the many Keys to how we, as Real Estate Professionals make Connections. The key to making Connections is not just who you know but how you reach out to them. Your connections could be viewed as any of the following:
Your Past Client Base
Your Current Customers or Clients
Your Professional Peers
Your Professional Associations
The Friendships and Bonds you form on the Active Rain Network
We tap into so many resources when we are connecting to others in the business world. When I think of the Key to making connections, I might be considering the "Keys" to Homeownership that we work to provide for our customers. It gives us such personal joy to deliver the Keys to the Home of a new Homeowner! Or I may be thinking of how using my Keyboard of my Computer helps me in connecting to the World through the Internet.
Real Estate Professionals are connecting on a daily basis to Consumers through the use of their "Keyboards" on their computers. Technology has grown exponentially so we are all connected!
Having said all this, we cannot forget where the true connections lie and that is of course in the Human Connections we make. Whether it's through such wonderful tools as the Active Rain Community or by a simple handwritten note or phonecall to a customer or colleague.
