As you may recall, around a week or so ago, I mentioned how I was looking for some more guest post opportunities. (And, BTW, since that article, I have had 4 lucky offers to do that...thank you! 2 from my article and 1 from the Q&A section (thank you Anita Clark ) and one via a FB chat w/ someone I know. I'm so excited as I really need to continue to improve my domain authority and give a little boost to a few articles.
Anyway, last night I got lucky. I learned (via a text message from the writer) that I was recently featured in 2 articles on realtor.com. Yay. Here are the 2 articles: A Pet Lover's Guide to buying a new home: 6 things you might miss and The Ultimate stylish and Durable Home Decor for People with Pets. Sweet. I'm guessing that realtor.com has pretty high domain authority.
So how did this happen? Well the writer was doing some research and needed some info about hardwood flooring, and as luck would have it, she stumbled upon my flooring blog. She sent me an email. Unfortunately, I didn't see it on time (she had to submit it within 48 hours. I was so bummed out.
But, I noticed the area code on her cell phone. It was from NYC, but as it turned out she lives in Austin, TX now. Anyway, we chatted for a while about NY and Austin as well as blogging. I told her she could call me if she has any questions that come up in the future about flooring.
As luck would have it, I got a text the next day and she said, she got a new assignment about pets and wanted to know if I wanted to give input on the flooring portion. Absolutely, I texted back. So, we set up a time for an interview.
And, apparently, I gave her so much info that she was able to turn it into 2 articles, and I think a 3rd one is coming out in a week or two. I had completely forgotten about this phone call as it was in the beginning of September.
So thrilled with the way things turned out.
I shared one of the articles today all over social media and will share the 2nd one tomorrow. I'm also linking back to her articles, so hopefully it will send a bit more link juice her way...and that will ultimately pass some more link juice down my way to my blog.
