Economic Outlook In Utah

According the Zions Bank Insight Articles Utah and the Rocky Mountain region and the nation  transitioning to a slower economic growth pattern.  Unlike the nation the area and Utah are not likely to have a recession in 2008.

Montana and Wyoming with agricultire and energy are growing.  Colorado, Idaho, and Utah have slowed but still ahve moderate gains.

Even though the employment growth in 2008 is weak in comparision to the last couple of years Utah is among the leaders in the nation and improvement will come in 2009 in new home construction.

2009 is coming fast and with it improvement.

Carol: as a home inspector in southern Utah, appreciate the information . . . seem like we just keep growing, but it does seems slower

Mike, We keep having buyers looking for homes here.  We are mostly in the lower range but it is steady.  We don't have enough rentals and there are jobs waiting to be filled.
