The New Wall Mural in Carlsbad Village November 2017
The Carlsbad Art Wall has a new mural, painted this past weekend, November 4 and 5. The new mural can be found on the east-facing wall at Senor Grubby's, a popular Mexican Restaurant in Carlsbad Village.
This colorful mural was painted by Teachr, a prolific street artist in Los Angeles who paints all sorts of things including electrical boxes and billboards with a focus on teaching about peace…not a bad theme at all!
Carlsbad artist, Bryan Snyder, is the brainchild behind the Carlsbad Art Wall (CAW), created in cooperation with the owner of Senor Grubby’s Mexican Restaurant on Carlsbad Village Drive in the heart of the Village, easily visible as you head toward the beach – look to the left just past the rail road tracks.
Carlsbad is known as a growing and changing arts community, with loads of public art, and the Carlsbad Art Wall is a wonderful addition to our expanding arts community. And the bonus is it changes several times per year!
Here are some recent Carlsbad Art Wall murals I enjoyed:
It's always fun to see what each artist will create, and locals often hang out to watch the artists at work. It’s cool that the wall art is up for a few months, giving residents and visitors plenty of time to enjoy these very public creations.
