Pensacola Beach
Median house prices - $140,000
Average rent - $900 per month.
Known for - white sand beaches
Nearby attractions - National Museum of Naval Aviation
Melbourne
Median house prices - $115,000
Known for - Easy access access to Orlando, Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach. Fishing is a big past time here for residents with the Gulf Stream bringing fish right by off shore.
Fort Pierce
Median house prices - $86,000
Average rent - $800 per month.
Known for - Citrus Groves and being name one of the "Most Idyllic and Historic Main Streets in America" by USA Today in 2015.
Daytona Beach
Median house prices - just over $110,000
Known for - Spring break and car racing.
Nearby attractions - Daytona Beach Pier which offers free concerts, fireworks and much more.
Palm Bay
Median house prices - just over $100,000
Known for - being a hub for high tech companies such as Harris and Intersil.
Apalachicola
Median house prices - $125,000
Known for - Oyster beds, low crime rate (hey there are only about 2,000 people in this tiny beach town).
