Keep it Short.......

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Referral Group Incorporated

The length of a blog post matters. If the post is too long, meaning over about 100 words most don't read it and whatever wisdom, insights or information you have to convey will likely be missed. If the post is but a few words it is unlikely to get any attention either. The perfect post is hard to write and even harder to get responses but keep it in the range of no more than 125 words and try and include a good picture and you may be OK. Just my experience.

When you think about real estate, it is time to focus. I have helped people for close to thirty years in all areas, and made the process not only simple but enjoyable. Why should you go it alone or settle for less? Call me and find a partner to help, direct and get you where you want to be.

I believe it's audience dependent.  Some of my longest and most boring with low comment numbers have some of the highest click counts.

Sheila, I have done both short and long posts. If I write more then 4 paragraphs I always use a lot of photos.

I am so sorry to disagree with you very respectfully:)

The longer the content- the more SEO value you will get, the more serious readers you will get, the longer visitors will stay on your website, the more reputable you will seem.. the list goes on.

I just came back from a week long Marketing Funnel Automation conference and all the big entrepreneurs - the big fish - ALL bar none, say that their long form content is getting much better and higher conversions.

SEM RUSH just did a huge study on this, they said for the SEO game, longer the content the better, like over 1000 words.

SEO MOZ and Neil Patel said that their tests show that posts need to be upwards between 2000 and 2500 words. This is also where we see the best results.

I love your post and the subsequent comments on it Sheila Anderson .  I know the experts say the longer the better for SEO...but 2,000 to 2,500 words - for me, that's too long!

Good morning Sheila.

Well that explains a lot.  My posts average around 200 to 225 words.  While I've tried to make them shorter to get the message across I just can't get it done with fewer words.

Hello Debbie. When I was actively listing and selling I found if it was too long it didn't engage and I got more juice from succinct messages. TY   Sheila

Good morning Sheila.  I'm with you as well.  Those writing for SEO are writing long posts.  Those who want their posts read by human beings are writing short ones.

Good morning Katerina. Your view is fine and I respect you. In my personal experience I wrote monthly email newsletters. I kept them to six points because for me that was the magic number. I found buyers and sellers weren't interested in long wordy information. Thank you for sharing you view and data.    Sheila
