Why is it that when I write something heart felt and brilliant I always seems to end up loosing it?  The 2nd version is never as good.  I need to figure out how to 'draft' or save as I am going along.  Now if you tell me I was suppose to write in a different program and paste to this blog I am really, really, going to cry!

Don't the blog god's give a grace period for bad key strokes?  Kinda like a mulligan in golf.  I really have been trying, I spell check (even though I know the spell check is probally wrong).  I learned to add pictures- should have seen the one I put on today's musings.  (I will re-write it after I get over my frustration of not saving it- but it won't be the same)

When I post in the mornings on my quilt blog, www.myquiltblog.com/quilt4younow  I am usually in a good happy morning mood.  I thought I could do the same here in the Rain, but Nooooooooo.  I have to ruin the good happy morning mood by hitting the back button to many times.

Please, please someone tell me how to recover all the wonder things I write when I am half asleep?

Good Morning Readers  I will go drink my 2 cups of Joe and try again.  cheryl

Copying blog periodically not a bad idea as you find when adding a second image and site freezes.  Losing a good blog is frustrating but like the swing set you build, the second one would not take half as long and you don't have all these parts left over. Good post!

Great Blog!!!

Don't Cry.

Now is the time to re-educate clients. Thirty four states in 2007 had a drop in forclosures. Three states are distorting & throwing off the national curve (CA, FL, AR) The market is starting to stabalize. Now is the time to buy the investment property & get off the side lines.

Thanx.

ANDREW, thanks for the swing set analogy- brought back memories, made me cry  jk

BOB, I would have thanked you sooner but I had to run out and re-educate my clients, Thank You, thank you, thank you for pointing out the market is starting to stabilize!  I didn't see that coming.

see what two cups of coffee does for me?  cw

Cheryl, please don't cry. It's frustrating but not permanent. I always write my posts in Word - nver directly in AR. Then I copy (not cut) and paste. Besides Word's spellchecker is usually better.

I have learned to copy and save then I do not loose it. Yes you are correct the first one is much better than the second one.

Much like sands though the hour glass such is the days of our lives.. Much like missed opportunities once gone is gone for good, Sorry about the Soap Opera analogy If it makes you feel better I have lost many a blog while looking for a photo or talking on the phone. So I'm afraid until we can certify you as being perfect you will have to live with being human.. and it is human to error, good luck don't cry it wouldn't help. Steve

Hi Cheryl, just wanted to check in and make sure you're feeling better...Dont Cry! I think Steve's tip of writing your blog in Word and using copy and paste instead of the cut and paste method is a great one - should make "blog loss" much less likely. Keep smling! Cheers!

Cheryl, I have done both, write in Word and copy and paste into AR, as well as save early and save often in Draft mode to see what it looks like before posting it. It works for me. Crying is well deserved if you lose everything. It has happened to all of us.

I've done this so many times.  I just never wanted to take the time to put it in word.

Good morning,

No need to cry, just chalk it up and move on. LOL Type your in draft form is all I can say. However, I am not sure that it will be there if you continue to hit the back button too many times. If I am typing something and don't finish I hit the post entry which saved the text. When I go back I just edit and so on.  Yes, the best way to solve the problem would be to write it in word or the like then copy and paste to rain when it is finished. But I am not going to mention that in here this morning. Grin

Have a great week.

Hi Cheryl - Just about all of us have lost a post in the AR editor for one reason or another. Several Rainers write their posts in Word or other programs and then copy and paste. I still do most of my work in the editor, but usually save after every paragraph. It's definitely a live and learn moment, but I'm sure you'll take the steps that are right for you to prevent this from happening again.

I know how you feel Cheryl - I've felt the same way when I first started blogging here. Right now the spellcheck doesn't even work if I use AR to blog - so I usually cut & paste from word ( that way you have a copy for outside blogs as well ).

Hope that helps,

Sincerely,

Grace

If we ever play golf - i'd be happy to grant you mulligans :)

I just wanted to comment on how nice your "crazy about Real Estate" sign is.  That looks like a billboard.  Is it?

If it is, I hope you got a great response to it...it is awesome.  I have a billboard also...Lamar outdoor advertising did the artwork, and it does wonders for local recognition.

I recently lost one of my blogs as well. I won't tell you that you should do it in word first. I've learned the hard way. :)

Cheryl, great blog!  I ususally write in Microsoft word and copy and paste.  I've lost too many and had to start all over.

Yeah, I try to do the word thing.  It is a good idea.

before everyone thinks I have spent the past couple days crying- just want to say been busy doing life stuff. Checked my comments today and thought I need to post that I don't need to be on a 'watch'.  I know it will be OK.

Steve, Susan, Steve (Alpines Lake), Gary, Cindy, Harold, John, Dave, Nyles and everyone else :  THANKS for not saying I told you so.  Everyone knows Jesus is not the only one who saves on a computer!  Don't know why I thought I would be special.

Teresa, I am smiling,   I have a niece who spells her name the same and she says similar stuff. thanks

Grace, don't really think you would want to play golf with me, my last instructor said I swing like a gorilla, and real golfers don't talk on the course.  Rules me out.  But you go have have a round and use my mulligan.

Isaac, Lamar did my billboard too.  We had gotten pictures done and I was playing around (I thought my hair looked 'flat' that day, so I was trying for more body)  Soon as I saw the photo I knew I had to use it.  That was my first billboard and I did 2 1/2 Million in sales the year it was up (my 2nd yr in the business)  In our part of the state most veteran agents do less then 2.

Kay Van Kampen-- you know if you would mentor me, I wouldn't have to learn everything the hard way.  thanks for stopping by.

Hope everyone enjoys their pts. for commenting-  this has been fun.  be good  cheryl  www.ozarkcastle.com

I usually copy it into a word document, since I , too, have lost many blogs where the system was down or I lost my connection.

If I have a great idea and know it will take some time to write it, I do it in word and simply copy and paste. I have saved it as a draft on AR as well. Hitting that "back" button stinks, doesn't it?

I know you don't want to hear it, but I always do write the posts in another program because I've lost two great posts last year even while trying to save in draft. It happens and when it does you quickly realize like you have that maybe, just maybe it might be easier to take the time to copy and paste from word that it would be to re-type the whole post you just lost.

Hello Cheryl from another Cheryl with Remax!  I feel your pain.  smileys

Sometimes when I'm not writing in another program, I just highlight and copy my post occasionally...that way if I loose it I can just paste it back.  I haven't had luck with saving to Draft on AR either, I gave up on that idea already.  Have a GREAT week!
