I hit a new milestone this morning. I wrote my 2000th blog. That means a lot to me because I didn't want to start blogging in 2010. My wife, who is a veracious blogger, pushed and pushed and pushed me to do it. She has a gazillion followers for her business blog and she told me it would be good for business. She even went so far as to set up a WordPress site for me which died a lonely death.
I had signed up for Active Rain in 2009, but again, it lived a lonely life for a year. Somewhere, and somehow, in 2010 I finally agreed to start blogging, and I've never looked back. My blog has become my connection to a world of real estate buyers and sellers. My local newspaper uses it to inform the community about the local real estate market, and recently, newspapers in three other areas have been using it for their communities.
If you're a blogging skeptic, you're in good company. Many of us who were hesitant to get involved have benefited beyond our highest hopes. I would encourage you to learn the basics of blogging and then get started. It can be a huge asset to your business, and you'll meet a lot of really great people along the way.
