Day 6: Wonderful Book Club Buddies
Earlier today, I spent a couple of hours with my wonderful friends in my book club. Our group has evolved to become a cook and book club, as I am sure many book clubs do. Each month, we read a book and then gather at one member's home for dinner and to discuss the book.
Our gathering today included dishes with African origins, as we had read the book, Behold the Dreamers by Imbolo Mbue. We had a delicious meal and a lively discussion about the book as well as the hot topics of the day. Yes, all the problems of the world were solved by the time our gathering wrapped up.
Our book club is in its third season, and I have come to cherish the camaraderie, the humor, the intelligence, and the cooking abilities of my book-mates!
Today, I am pleased to express my gratitude for my book club friends.
