Yesterday I was busy running around town getting the last items needed for the upcoming Thanksgiving feast.
Of course, this pumpkin pie is not one that I have made, but boy it is pretty. (sorry I digress...)
I was buzzing down the frozen section when a dorky guy in shorts, sweatshirt, black shoes and black socks can wondering up to me. He looked me right in the eye as he approached and said, "If I weren't married, I'd be hitting on you right now."
My first thought was, good thing I am a lady or I would punch you in the face.
But instead of thinking out loud, I smiled and walked away to catch up with my husband. Thankfully I was wearing my wedding ring.
As we approached the check out area, I saw El Creepo in line with his wife. I felt really sorry for her.
What is wrong with people sometimes? Did he really think I would take his inappropriate behavior as a compliment or think he was somehow really cool?
And why would anyone wear black shoes and black socks with shorts.
My California Girl persona surfaced immediately and thought
"Dude - you are a major dork".
