On a recent listing Haven Realty & Investments took there was an abandoned chihuahua that needed to be re homed. According to her collar her name is Layla. My fiancee is a huge animal lover and refused to let her be taken to a shelter. At first she wouldn't come out of the cage for anything. After a few days it took to Allison and started to warm up to her, but wouldnt let me come near Allison with out protecting her.
After a few days she had found a lady from Fort Meyers that wanted to come up and adopt her. She made a $100 donation to a local dog shelter as "payment" so Allison would feel comfortable that Layla was going to a good home.
We just got an update that Layla has been to the vet, caught up on all treatments, is working on being house trained, and is enjoying the retirement lifestyle in Fort Meyers, FL.
