Almost all crops have been harvested...the corn is in the bin. And the farmers are thankful.
Equipment is being cleaned up and put into storage...well, most of it...some folks leave it out all year and even a few never clean it..but I digress.
Although crop prices are still way down and actually under a break even thresh hold for many farmers...I know that all of my farming friends and family are Thankful for another crop season that is in the books and will look forward with optimism to the spring planting.
I also know...because I ride with many of them during spring planting and fall harvest.
I know that they are very passionate about America and they are patriotic and thankful for what they have...they are great stewards of the land and waters...and they appreciate every single person who provides them services from the military to the local enforcement to the EMT's and firefighters...and to those who make their individual world a large family.
That includes teachers, health providers, clergy, spouses, families, and so many more.
I have never seen an industry that works so hard with so many high expenses with such low profit margins...and yet they love what they do and they do it well.
And I am thankful that I have many friends, family, and clients that are in the farming industry.
Happy Thanksgiving to each of them and to all of you!!
Until Next ...Stay Thankful my friends..
