There are so many people and things for me to be grateful for just by living in Los Angeles. I am so thrilled, that I have been a Realtor for over 20 plus years in the greater Los Angeles Real Estate Market. This is such a unique place, where you can run into Billionaires, Millionaires and actors and actresses who are famous and others who are infamous. The question is will you recognize them?
Over the years, I had the opportunity to rent to celebrities, homes when they were making movies. Then I had the opportunity to sell some of them homes and in turn had the opportunity to sell some of their homes.
Real Estate in the greater Los Angeles is unlike any other part of the country. Just think about it, you are holding an Open House and Cher pops in with her daughter (18+ years ago) but I still see it clear as day.
I show a home to a famous actress and her father pops in un announced, just to make sure his daughter is looking at the right home. Both equally recognized and famous.
Then, I am having lunch in a Restaurant with Diane an Jerry Stiller is there with his wife, (you know Ben Stiller’s parents). Another time I am having dinner with Diane in Venice, CA and a famous Tap Dancer (sadly passed away) is having dinner with his wife.
One evening, Diane and I were having dinner in Century City and a famous musician comes in with his entourage and they take up a third of the restaurant.
I could go on and on about the people we met being in the Grocery Store or at the Department Store in the past twenty plus years. Now keep in mind these are just the ones we recognized.
I still remember when Ben Affleck popped in to our real estate office and was looking at homes before he really became famous.
Anyway, you get the idea, this is a very unique place to live and sell real estate.
Now twenty plus years late I drop a few names, but the reality is those who want confidentiality. they will get it and there have been some I had to even sign a non-disclosure agreement, just to look at their homes.
These are the things that the average Realtor does not get to experience anywhere outside of the greater Los Angeles area. I am so grateful that I have had and still could enjoy these unexpected and wonderful opportunities.
