I have one last thing to add to my thankful list (though there are so many to add). I am thankful for Active Rain. I was on the path to learning how to use the Internet as a part of my marketing plan, but Active Rain put that on steriods.
In the early years of my relationship with AR, I tried to get involved in every class that was offered about the Internet and marketing. It didn't take long in those early days to learn that there are a lot of really smart people on here who are generous with their knowledge.
In the early days, I had multiple Rainers send private messages encouraging me to fix a misspelling, correct a grammar mistake or change my formatting to make my blog easier to read. They all did it with such grace and concern for my success that I was always happy to hear from them.
Active Rain has provided me with some great friends. On numerous occasions, we've been able to meet in person, share a meal, ride a bike or just share a hug. I've shared referrals, and I've received referrals. I've cooperated on deals with other Rainers, and I've given Rainers guidance on how to negotiate a home inspection when it related to electrical issues.
I had no idea where my relationship with AR would go many years ago, but I am so thankful for where it has gone. There is no portal quite like it, and I encourage all agents who work with me to also become a player in the Rain. I am thankful for Active Rain.
