For those of you who do not have text messaging on your phone, but occasionally need to send a text, here's a neat little trick and it will be free to you.

First, here's an example of how this might be helpful. My husband has text messaging, but I do not. So I go online to Verizon and send the text with a reply to my email instead of my phone. Once he replies, I get it on my computer and we can reply back and forth through this venue.

 So here's how it's done.

 Go to  https://text.vzw.com/customer_site/jsp/messaging_lo.jsp  (save the link for future texting!)

Make sure the person receiving your email is on the same system. I'm sure Sprint and the other cell phone companies have this too. I only know how Verizon's works.
