I have been in Costa Rica since Tuesday. December and January are the rainy season but it has been rainy here since I came. It has poured and there has beemn sunnto. For a small country Costa Rica is complex and interesting. No third world place, but there are contradictions. In the middle of no where there is electricity in 98% of homes. The is poverty and wealth but there is undiscovered natural beauty too. I would love to share pictures but I have been unable to upload to Active Rain. When I am home I will share.

We've had the same observations when in Costa Rica..some friends were so enamored they bought a coffee plantation and retired there. It lasted 5 years and they move back..just couldn't adjust to the pace and inconsistency of medical etc.
