Yuletide at Winterthur 

 

Yuletide at Winterthur is one of the very special exhibits that Dolores and I like to visit during the holidays.   Winterthur is the former home of Henry Francis du Pont.  The house, museum and grounds are beautiful and this is a great travel destination. The location is Wilmington, Delaware.  

Many try to see Winterthur and the nearby Longwood Gardens on the same visit.  It would really be a full day to combine both destinations.  I recommend a day for each.  By the way, this is mushroom country so be sure to try the mushroom soup at either location for a special lunchtime treat.
