What do you do when the Power Goes out and You have a Training Day?

Snow Day in Springtime! What do you do when the power goes out and you are doing a Training Seminar?  You do whatever it takes to get ready and go.  You stay focused and do whatever you need to do to reach your goal.  If that means taking a shower in the dark, putting your makeup with just daylight by a window and just pray like crazy for a miracle.  A half hour before we were to go down and have breakfast, the lights came back on.  Granted, I thought if worse came to worse, our students would see me all dressed except my hair was not done.  Isn't it funny, how much we rely on electricity for our lives these days?

If you want to ever go to a very special Bed and Breakfast.  You will absolutely love the Highalnd Haven Bed and Breakfast in Evergreen, CO.

You can visit it at www.highlandhaven.com   We even had snow the first day of class.  The day before arriving felt like spring and was in the low 70's.  The second day we had snow!  What an adventure that was for all of us.

We were able to stay on task and enjoy the hearty and wonderful breakfast that the staff prepared in a very cozy dining room.  If you ever have a chance to visit Evergreen, CO, book a night or two at the Highland Haven Bed and Breakfast.  It is absolutely superb!

Wlliam, Yes, I agree.  I knew that we had to believe it would work out soon.  In the past I would have really stressed, but this time, I took a deep breath and knew it would work out one way or another.  Thank you for your comment.

Hi Irene-

On a recent trip to a small town in Spain with my husband, something in the water system broke & the whole town was without water! We woke up and were unable to shower (one flush only). Phone call to the front desk gave us the unfortunate news.  Luckily we were leaving town that morning!!

Hi Kathy, Wow!  What an experience.  I can not imagine not being able to shower on a day you have to travel, too.  It makes you pause and think how often we can take the simple things in life for granted.  I am glad you were able to leave and hopefully, the rest of your trip was wonderful besides that!

Have a Colorful Day!
